Tendons snapping over the edge of bones, loose or worn cartilage or excess motion from damaged ligaments. Typically if there is no pain, there is no reason to freak out. Next time you go to the doc, have him/her take a look.

Usally your ankle is hurting if your doing anykind of physical activity. These are the following in what u should do

1. Keep your ankle warm while doing physical activity. For example:leg warmers, bandage warps etc.

2.Ice it at the end of the day this will prevent it from swelling.

3.Roll or strech your ankles this will allow the tensity in the ankles relase( place your ankle down on the floor and while your knee raises but keep the ankle down)

I hope this helps if these dont work and it gets worse call or visit a sports and medicine doctor:)

My ankles crack all the time. There is nothing bad 99.99% of the time. It is just your bones rubbing together. This happens usually to skinny people.
