- Panties are for women only because they are either dainty and made of cotton or can be silk and it's feminine while males underwear can be a thong; low cut or boxer shorts (depends what the man is comfortable wearing.) However, there are some men that will wear male underwear made of silk because they like the feel of it and even some men that will secretly wear women's underwear because they love the feel of them against their skin or it may arouse the male.
