Not unless they spend more energy/time/effort/concern/help/money/talk when it comes to human abuse. Did you know that the amount of money people in the USA spend for pet food each year would be enough to eliminate hunger for all the impoverished people in the world? And they spend that cash on PETS !!!! Makes a person sick just to think of it.

Erm person who put first answer animals r as gooooood as humans so yey we should help em cause it int fair!you should always care about animals cause with out them the whole food chain would spiral into kaous. animals keep the lonly company and some pervide a food source for humans. so yes you should care. although the first person made an awseome point and people shouldn't spend so much money on animal orginizations but still help a pet you know that is being abused, starved, and/or neglected animals have feelings too.everyone needs o care about animal abuse! its horrible and should be stopped! and the person who wrote the first answer is sucha dipsh*t!!!! animal have just as much feeling as people!!!

∙ 15y agoMy personal opinion is that people who choose to abuse animals should be arrested. Animals should still have rights, just like humans, and should not be abused or neglected. Nobody really deserves to be abused or neglectd, do they? So why let people abuse animals? Besides, if you didn't know, people are fined and even jailed, if they abuse or neglect animals.

∙ 12y agothis is all a matter of opinion I feel that animal abuse should be stopped because i think that it is not right for human beings to just go around and do anything that we want and not care about other living organisms we all should remember we aren't the only species that matters we all play a role in this world and other creatures should be respected no matter how small and unimportant they may seem to us

∙ 10y agoThere are many reason why people are against animal abuse, the list can go on and on. Lets use dogs for example... A dog feels pain the same way a human does, and they have the mind of a two year old child. Is it ok to abuse a two year old child? Nope. So is it ok to abuse a dog? Nope. Animals are things that depend on us to care for them because we were the ones who domesticated them, making them unable to live in the wild. It's our job to take care of them and give them a happy, loving home free of any abuse.
There's also a link between animal abuse and human abuse. A man who kicks his dog when he's angry might do the same to his girlfriend. 71% of pet-owning women entering women's shelters reported that their batterer had injured, maimed, killed or threatened family pets.

∙ 7y agoYes. There are several things that all people can do to stop animal abuse. The most important thing that people can do to stop animal abuse is to become vegan. Animals in agriculture suffer from many abuses, including being removed from their families, being confined in very small enclosures for long periods, being shredded, suffocated, or stabbed shortly after birth for being the wrong sex, having their beaks, tails, horns, toes, teats, and testicles removed without anesthesia, and eventually being killed. Animals who are taken from the wild also suffer. Humans have no biological need to consume the flesh or secretions of other animals, so all use for such purposes is abusive.
The second thing people can do to stop animal abuse is to stop purchasing pets from breeders and pet stores. There are millions of dogs, cats, and other animals who suffer abuse and death at the hands of humans. If you want to have an animal companion, please rescue one from an animal shelter, have him or her spayed or neutered, and commit to providing him or her food, water, a home, and veterinary care for the rest of his or her life.
The third thing people can do to stop animal abuse is to stop supporting circuses, zoos, aquariums, Animal Racing, animal fighting, horse-drawn carriages, animal rides, and any other form of entertainment that exploits animals.
The fourth thing people can do to stop animal abuse is to stop using the byproducts of animal exploitation, such as leather, wool, and silk, as well as cosmetics and other household products that are tested on animals.

Why is animal abuse so common?
Animal abuse is very common because most people think that animals are helpless and you can do anything to them. You get mad at them, so you throw them. They claw you, so you cut them. Animal abuse is wrong. Some people think that animal abuse is nothing, but it is indeed not nothing. People think that since the animal can't do anything, they can take control over them and hit them, put them in illegal animal fights where they are often killed or kill them themselves. People who cause animal abuse or horrid people, they do go to jail where they belong. Imagine if you were abusing an animal, now think if you were the animal being abused, you wouldn't like it either. Animals should die of old age, not of being abused.
How does animal abuse start?
animal abuse starts when an abuser gets mad and just disides to take everything out on the animal, then he/she starts hitting and hurting the poor animal. This is not fair to the animal and should be stopped.
