Never heard about anyone being afraid of Cruise ships as such
I've heard about people not wanting Cruise ships around, passing by where they live, things like that.
Which makes a bit of sense.
They pull wake, which can damage a sensitive shoreline and mess with moored boats.
There's a bit of pollution. etc etc. All only for the enjoyment of the passengers.
Some doesn't think it's worth it.
Answer
If they are, it's because they're complete idiots and afraid of water, and should grow up and enjoy them.
Yes, but they usually get scared away by the boat.
Cruise Ships are like any other vacation spot. Instead of doing it on land, people do it on the ships.

A lot of cruise ships have pool tables. So that is a "Yes"
Some say that carnival cruise ships are cheap. It really just depends on how much you plan to spend on a cruise. I have had many friends go on them before and they have loved them. They are known by many people and are worth checking out.
