because they could kill you at any second
People don't kill lions anymore really. Only high risk poachers. But people don't kill lions because they are scared of them. Mostly poachers kill them for their skin. People love lion skin like a carpet, they like the head on the mantle. And some people stuff them. I know its sick and saddening but its the truth.
no
Flamethrowers
so scared
They are the apex predator and are afraid of nothing.
Lions rarely eat people. They typically prefer to hunt large herbivores such as zebras and buffalo. Attacks on humans are rare and are usually a result of a lion feeling threatened or as a response to being hunted.
People are often scared of lions due to their status as apex predators and their powerful physical capabilities. Their reputation for being fierce, combined with their role in popular culture as symbols of danger, enhances this fear. Additionally, the unpredictability of wild animals and the potential for human-wildlife conflict in regions where lions inhabit contribute to this anxiety. Ultimately, the fear stems from a combination of instinct, cultural narratives, and awareness of their hunting prowess.
If the cowboy has a gun, then anything would be scared. Bulls don't know from guns, and not smart enough to be scared of anything but wolves and mountain lions.
If lions are startled, by instinct they will retreat or jump back. If they are harassed or in an unfamiliar environment they can become very hostile and will attack. When transporting lions between zoos or sanctuaries, lion handlers and veterinarians must be sure to keep the lion sedated to prevent and injury to both the lion and the people around it.
