Because they're wonderful dogs who deserve to live out happy lives w/ a family who loves them. Maybe NZ realizes that most of the pitty population has never shown the slightest sign of being vicious. Maybe they noticed that almost all pit bulls hav never jumped on someone unless it was to lick their face. Pitties deserve good quality lives just like any other dog.
