I wouldn't say they are the major cause, burning fossil fuels probably produces a lot more. However, they are certainly an important cause. This is largely because most of them are not biodegradable, so they persist in the environment.

How synthetic polymer can cause environmental pollution?

Synthetic polymers can cause environmental pollution when they are not properly disposed of. They do not biodegrade easily, leading to accumulation in landfills and natural environments. Additionally, plastic polymers can break down into microplastics, which are widely distributed in ecosystems and can harm wildlife and marine life.

Avoid plastic as far as possible. comment on this statement?

Ans: Plastics are non-biodegradable materials. They take several years to decompose. It is not environment friendly and causes environment pollution. Also burning process of plastics is quite slow. In the process of burning it releases lots of poisonous gas into the atmosphere causing air pollution. Some plastics can't be recycled and so, it is very difficult to finally dispose off such materials. Polythene bags, carelessly thrown in an eating garbage can cause death for the animals like - cows, dogs etc or sometimes even become a cause for clogging of the drains. The only solution to get rid of these problems is to reduce the use of plastics. There lies the justification for saying that 'Avoid plastics as far as possible'. Hi,Sangeetha, does this help u??

Why non biodegradable materials cause various type of pollution?

OK imagine a chemical. Let's call it chemical X. And this chemical can't be broken down for billions year. Now imagine you just through a can of chemical into the garbage. It would then go a landfill and get absorbed into the ground. It could then evaporate with the water and pollute the rain which would then spread it to a larger area and if this continued then well let's just say you better get used to chemical X on the rocks.

Does fuel cause chemical pollution?

yes. It does, because you breathe in the fuel which is pollution, then it goes through your lungs, then it gets blocked with your blood which simulates through your body, then you die.
