The Greasers fight in the book The Outsiders because the Soc's drive around in their fancy cars looking for trouble. They go around and jump kids like Johnny and almost Ponyboy. The Greasers are considered dirty and a menace to society, while the Soc's are consider rich kids who never start trouble. The Greasers fight because they feel like they must protect and defend themselves. The two gangs also fight because each gang has their own problems and they take it out on each other. In the story, the fighting escalates to rumble. Eventually, Ponyboy(Greaser) and Randy(Social) realizes that the fighting is useless. They realize that it isn't going to solve their own problems. As Cherry Valence had previously said, they all watch the same sunset.
They have a rumble because, they had a deal. If the Socs won, then they would continue to come to the greaser territory and bully them. If the greasers won, the socs wouldn't be allowed to come to the greaser territory. z
The Greasers resent the Socs because they have money and flaunt their material possessions to the poor Greasers. They also resent the Socs because of their families status the Socs get away with things while the Greasers get in to trouble for the same things.
Because the Socs are rich and they get things even they don't want some of them just want there parents to punish them! But the Greasers they are Greasers cause they are kinda poor and they put grease in there hair.
I think that there is so much is because she wrote the book based on her town when she was a teen that is what inspired her and also the socs are so rich that they think that they are better than anyone else espicaily the gresers.
Well, when the Ewoks came to shape the earth into a sphere, the Ewoks also created gangs, and they controlled all the gangs into having hatred for all separate gangs. The greasers and Socs are one of the Ewok's gangs.
The greasers and the socs were both from different parts of town. The Socs had more money, and the gresers were usually more poor than the socs.
They fight because the greasers are from the poor side and the socs are from the rich side of the town, and they are gangs so they fight all the time.

The rumble is when the Greasers "have it out" with the socs. Its when the greasers and the socs fight.
The Socs and the Greasers.
Socs( like socialites) and greasers.
In the Outsiders, the Greasers scared the Socs and won the rumble.

Greasers and the Socs
The rumble is when the Greasers "have it out" with the socs. Its when the greasers and the socs fight.
i think it was the greasers and soches (like social)
The socs live on the west side and the greasers live on the east side
The solution to the outsiders is that the greasers and the Socs had a rumble to settle it. Ponyboy learns that Greasers and Socs are not as diffrent as he thought and that they both have their own problems they have to deal with.
The conflict between the Greasers and the Socs in the book The Outsiders is that Socs and Greasers disliked and hated each other. The Socs jumped greasers and wreck houses and throw beer blasts for kicks. Greasers are like hoods they steal things and drive up old souped-up cars and hold up gas stations and have gang fight once in a while. The Socs were West-side rich kids. The term "greaser" , is used to class all the boys on the East side.
At one point of the book Randy explains how the rumble won't change anything. socs will still be socs and greasers will still be greasers...i think....lol
The outsiders book is better because it is like the life for teens now and that there's groups like from the outsiders greasers, socs, etc.
