Rocks are hard because the atoms comprising the minerals which are present in rocks have formed a latticework which make them solid and very stiff. Solid, stiff objects require a significant load applied over a small area to undergo deformation.
Solids are hard because, there particles are tightly packed therefore there is no room for them to migrate.
Because they are solids and they are hard
well It Is hard because all rocks are hard
Hard Place
They may be smooth and others may be rough. Smoothness/roughness is not a defining characteristic for igneous rocks.
They're hard AND the float on magma.
There are types of igneous rocks that are hard (eg granite) and others that are soft (eg volcanic ash). There are types of metamorphic rocks that are hard (eg gneiss) and others that are soft (eg marble). Thus "hardness" is not a characteristic that can be used to distinguish between the two.
Hard.........l
Rocks feel like a hard, rough, rigid object.
they can be as hard as a rock
well It Is hard because all rocks are hard
the look and feel of sedimentary rocks are sometimes hard and smooth or hard and rough
Hard matrix is supposed to be used for digging hard rocks and soft matrix for soft rocks. It's quite confusing to me
because the rocks are hard and the plants can't mack their roots to go throw them
hard
Granite
No. Just solid.
There is no immediate effect if the rocks are hard and solid.
Big sharp rocks can be. Because big rocks is hard and it can break it's hard bone. While big sharp rocks can hurt them more than the big ones. Because big sharp rocks can point hard the crocodile's skin and it can break it's hard bone.
