conglomerate is sedimentary rockCoarsely-angular, poorly-sorted clasts in a silicious or carbonate matrix.

What is a sedimentary rock formed from large rocks?

A conglomerate or a breccia. However, these rocks also have a finer-grained matrix.

What kind of rock is clastic?

Clastic refers to sedimentary rocks with rock particles of various sizes cemented together in a finer matrix.

Sedimentary rocks form from sediments being cemented together?

A sedimentary rock, such as sandstone (quartz mineral grains eroded, transported and set in a fine matrix of mud) or a conglomerate formed in a high energy environment such as a beach of fast-flowing river bed, containing large pebbles set in a fine to medium matrix of sand and mud grains.

They type of sedimentary rock that forms when sediments stick together?

Detrital sedimentary rock. clastic sedimentary A+

What is the interior of a diamond?

The interior of a diamond is the same as the exterior: a matrix of carbon atoms. If a gem-quality diamond, these atoms lack some level of inclusion of any other mineral. If industrial diamond, the level of inclusions of other minerals render the diamond opaque or cloudy.

Are diamonds found in coal?

No. Both coal and diamond are allotropes of carbon, each with a different matrix structure.

What sedimentary rock would be formed from particles 2 to 4 centimeters in diameter cemented by a fine-grained matrix?

a sediment contains particles that range in diemeter from 2 to 4 cm. which sedimentary rock would be formed when this sediment is compressed and cemented

What compounds make up a diamond?

Diamond is made up from Carbon atoms structured in a crystalline matrix. In its other form Carbon makes graphite, better known as the 'lead' in a pencil

What is conglomerate rock made of?

Conglomerate rock is made up of fragments of geological detritus which are embedded in a matrix and cemented together. This type of rock is classified as sedimentary rock.

How do you remove a herkimer diamond?

The beautiful clear colorless doubly terminated quartz crystals called "Herkimer Diamonds" found near Herkimer, NY, can very quickly be removed from their hard rock matrix with a hammer and chisel. A diamond bladed saw would ensure a greater likelihood of success; even little diamond blades on a Dremel or Foredom tool will do. (Protect your lungs and eyes!) Bear in mind that nice crystals in matrix are more interesting, and more valued by collectors than crystals that have been broken off the matrix.

What sedimentary rock is compossed of fragments of any kind of rock cemented intoa solid mass?

This would be called a conglomerate! Any sedimentary rock that is comprised of clasts and held together within a fine grained matrix is called a conglomerate. There is no other name for rocks like this except for conglomerate
