Why are some cards in duels grey in wizard101 because what if you need to use them?

Some cards are gray in your deck, well I know why. Sometimes you don'thave enough pips to cast the spell. So when you have more pips that spell wouldn't be gray. you could preform that spell. Good luck on your quest!
