Building toys suchs as Lego, Megabloks and Meccano for boys. For girls you have speaking dolls and dollhouse and small kitchens. Vtech toys can be used for both boys and girls. I would categorize toys more by how much fun they are and if my child learns while playing. You can check out Melissa and Doug toys(the link is mentioned below) for more examples of traditional toys that last a long time.

of course legos are better you idiot ask another question it is so obvious cmon now you are smarter then that there is like Lego everything!!!!User:Awert123, i am going to argue with that, i used to agree until the Christmas of 2009, that was when i went to the tree, opened up a present and found the areal attack, the human A-A gun, and the ghost waiting for me, then i started prefering megabloks because of the halo series. they can be difficult(and most of the time ARE,) and hard to build, they may fall apart sometimes, but they still are kick-ass looking and worth it completely. so i say that megabloks are a little better just because of that.
