Why are some people called 'doctors' even though they are not medical doctors?
Inall cases 'Doctor' is a title which goes along withhaving attainedthedegree of doctor in some field of study. Medical Doctors have the degree of Doctor of Medicine, but other kinds of Doctor may have the degree of Doctor of Laws, Doctor of Philosophy, Doctor of Pharmacy, Doctor of Veterinary Medicine, Doctor of Theology and so on.
Male medical professionals are every bit as good as female medical professionals. Female medical professionals are every bit as good as male medical professionals. There has been some research pointing to females showing more empathy to patients concerns though it does not necessarily prove they are better doctors

hi, there are two types of doctors: ones who have doctorates which gain PHd's in any field which requires years of study; or there are medical doctors which go to medical school. so technically they aren't the same even though they get the same title. but a medical doctors can get a PHd. in which case that's a HEAP of study! hope this helps
