Why are some people so good at everything while some are rubbish at everything?

Well I don't think anyone can be good at everything first time round, for some people some things just come naturally, they don't need to work hard to be good at those certain things, while some people aren't so good to start off with and they need to persist and practice to become good at it, some people aren't that good at anything when they start off, everyone is different.

I suppose genetics does play a role, or people have different learning curves, some are very quick to improve to begin with but their improvement eventually plateus, while others are slow to learn at the start but once they "get it" their improvement skyrockets and they usually end up being better than those that were quick to learn at the start of whatever they were learning.

The point is people are different, what plays a role is genetics and personality mainly, the rest is how hard you work.

But nobody should ever feel discouraged just because they are the type that needs to work hard to become good at something, after the hard work has payed off in certain things you can become good at other things really quickly without practicing.
