because only green parts of plants contains chlorophyll and can perform photosynthesis. perhaps that's why starch is store in them.but not only starch, plant waste products r also stored in leaves so as to remove wastes easilt as leaves shed off easily during automn.
This is because some plants like to store it and preserve it but others prefer to use it straight away in order to grow.
You can conduct an experiment to prove this. Pour drops of Iodine onto a vegetable. If it turns to a very strong purple, then the vegetable has a large amount of starch in it. If it turns to a weak brpwn or light purple then the vegetable contains a small amount of starch in it.
Hope this has been of help!
Parts of plants are green because of the chloroplast in them. This causes them to turn green and is an essential part of photosynthesis.
Decomposers such as bacteria, fungi, and earthworms break down plants.

Photosynthesis occurs in plants, but not in animals.
In order for plants to make starch, they need some vital factors including; chlorophyll, carbon dioxide and light. Light turns into chemical energy by chlorophyll or chloroplasts (organelles) which forms a chemical reaction that is stored as glucose, the glucose then turns into starch. light Carbon dioxide + water >>>>>>>>>>> Glucose + oxygen
Green plants use light to manufacture simple sugars in the process of photosynthesis
Plants that appear green are due to the presence of the green plastids called chlorophyll that help in the process of photosynthesis to produce starch. The green plant section is pealed and put in hot water and later transfered to hot ethanol solution.Iodine solution will turn blue in the presence of starch.
Chlorophyll is the green pigment in plants that absorbs and uses sunlight to manufacture simple sugars through the process of photosynthesis.
All green plants store starch
no, only green plants with red leaves
Organisms such as green plants produce starch.
sugars through photosynthesis

The green pigment which enables plants to use sunlight and manufacture food is chlorophyll.

starches are produced by all green plants as the energy is stored
yes black beans have carbohydrates in them!
