Alot of teens and even older people do this to show support to the organization "To Write Love On Her Arms" (TWLOHA). TWLOHA is a non profit organization that exists to help people who struggle with, depression, Self Injury(ex. Cutting, Burning, anything that consists of hurting oneself on purpose) Addiction (Ex, Alcohol, drugs, etc) And suicide. TWLOHA is meant to encourage, inform, inspire and also to invest directly in treatment. The name is meant as an idea that we can write "love" overtop of our scars (both physical and emotional).

We want to say here that it's worth it, that your life is worth fighting for, that it's possible to change. "
