Typical stereotypes are that Muslims are terrorists; Jews are greedy; Catholics are hypocrites; atheists are incapable of morality. These stereotypes are different yet have one thing in common - people who identify as different to me are in some way inferior to me.
Other stereotypes are that Muslims are peace-loving; Jews are great comedians; Catholics hold high moral values; atheists are tolerant. These are stereotypes held by members of a religious group about members of their own group and are universally positive - people who identify with me are people with good personal qualities.

Absolutely. Nurses care for human beings period. We care for the body and the mind and not the race/gender/religion. When race or culture comes into play it is irrelevant because we have EMPATHY. Empathy transcends all else. When you go to work you put your prejudices aside and go care for human beings and not sterotypes.

Some people blame atheism or blame religion for one or another thing; but more often than not the blame can be more accurately pointed to a non-religious factor.
