because people like its design
yes, they are used , that is why they are built.
There were (and still are) other bridges that can be used.
Roebling's Delaware Aqueduct built in 1847 is the oldest wire suspension bridge still in service in United States. The Chain Bridge at Falls of Schuylkill, north of Philadelphia was built in 1808 but it collapsed in 1810.
bridges have developed over times because they have found different materials to make bridges out of and it enabled it because we were already advanced in building bridges and then we found steel that made the bridges extra stable and reliable that some that was built 100 years ago are still here now!
A suspension bridge does move. Over the course of history engineers have implemented the use of different materials so suspension bridges are not as "wobbly", but they still move. They also have parts called rockers which are locked in between the truss and the arches. This keeps the bridge from being to stiff and helps release some of the stress.
they used arches for their bridges and other things such as aqueducts they are still standing today well most of them
The last Inca emperor was a puppet ruler. He died 72 years after the Spanish conquest. Incas still exist in Peru. They still make suspension bridges over deep canyons. Some still keep Inca beads although no one knows how to read them.
ruby bridges still new olenes gdy
It affected our world by letting pedestrians travel to different parts of the country. If there were no roads/bridges we would still be driving on dirt roads today. So be thankful for all of the architectural people that built all of our roads and bridges.
I believe it is the Clifton Suspension bridge in Bristol, which was built by I K Brunel (who built the first suspension bridge) completed in 1864 using chains from Hungerford bridge which he had also built. Actually the Menai suspension bridge, which crosses the Menai Straits between mainland North Wales and the Isle of Anglesey, was built by Thomas Telford and completed in 1826. So that would make it a lot earlier than the Clifton bridge.
The state that has over 100 bridges still standing is Pennsylvania.
