When 1/3 of them sinned and chose Satan as their god, they were changed into demons and await their future judgement. Humans on the other hand, were created in the image and likeness of God, in physical form to learn and chose which future they wanted: the enormous honor of becoming a new creature in the God Family as sons and daughters, or the 2nd death (Romans 6:23). God loves us all so much that He sent His only begotten Son to redeem us if we wish. It is an individual choice.
