they are radioactive,&if you pull the back in the rows with the transition metals you wont be able to see the patterns. they are radioactive,&if you pull the back in the rows with the transition metals you wont be able to see the patterns.

They are radioactive and known as the lanthanide series and the actinide series if they were included in the rows of group six of the Periodic Table they would reck the patern of the solid non-radioactive elements.

This is only a matter of print layout of the table, it would double the number of columns (36!) when placed in between group (column) 3 to 4 in period 6: 57La to 72Hf and in between group (column) 3 to 4 in period 7: 89Ac to 104Unq. But they are still placed IN the periodic table, though not printed in.

Element 58-71 and 90-103 are below the periodic table because there are no room for them between 57 and 72 or 89 and 104. If they put them in between it would be way to long.

I do believe you are talking about numbers 57-70 and 89-102. The answer is because they are Lanthanides and Actinides; they do not fit in neatly with the rest of the periodic table.

Where is cation on the periodic table?

Periodic table consists of elements not cations. However group 1 and group 2 elements (left side of the periodic table) are elements which will form cations easily.

In group 2 on the periodic table are they positive ions when they bond with other elements?

Elements from the group 2 of the periodic table form cations.

The elements in the periodic table goes accoring to?

In the modern form of periodic table, all elements are arranged in increasing order of their atomic numbers. The periodic properties of elements are functions of their atomic weights.

What are some ways that elements are arranged on the periodic table of elements?

Mendeleev arranged the elements in a table in the increasing order of atomic masses and repeating periodic properties. In the modern long-form of periodic table, the elements are arranged in the increasing order of atomic number and repeating periodic properties.

What is periodic in the periodic table?

The modern periodic table is modified form of the mossleys periodic table, which was yet modifiied form of the mendileevs periodic table, which was based on the principle-atomic mass is the periodic function of the elements.Mossley changed the periodicity of elements to be the periodic functions of their atomic numbers.hence in the modern periodic table we can find, the repeatation of certain properties of elements after definite intervals and hence the periodic table has groups and periods the elements inside which, are similar.this is possible because across a period electrons increase by 1,keeping shells sama, and down a group, outer electrons remain same, but shells increase by1.

Elements are arranged by atomic number in the what?

They form the periodic table of elemennts (the table of Mendeleev).

Why do the elements in a column on the periodic table form a group?

The elements in a column on the periodic table form a group (or family) because they have similar physical and chemical properties.

How are elements organized?

atomic number Chemical elements are organized in the form of the periodic table of Mendeleev, in groups and periods.

What number is mathane on the periodic table?

First of all it is a compound made of different elements, hence it cannot exist in periodic table. Periodic table is composed only of pure elements not in any combined form.

Which elements in period table are liquids?

At normal temperatures, Bromine and Mercury are the only elements on the Periodic Table of the Elements that are in liquid form.

How are the elements formed that are on the periodic table?

You cannot form elements on the periodic table of elements. All the elements on this table were already in existence before man ever set foot on the earth. An element is a substance that cannot be broken down into a simpler state, meaning that man could not form one element out of two things, because then it could be broken down into those two separate things once again.
