Well Becus People Are Heartless And Crulee, Humpback Whales Arent For Eating, They're Not Meant To Be Cutt Open And Hung Up,I Dont Know Why To Be Honest Buh Mann Its Messed Up!!Rytee
WHAT THE? This is not right. Althoug it is wrong to kill whales and sell them for meat and other products its their way of life. so when you ask why are they hunted it is because its their way of life just like we kill cows and eat them, its how they live. the humpback whale is now endangered so it is time to stop but imagine if cows became ndangered? people would still hunt them for meat because its what we eat!!!!! they are not cruel or heartless they just cant find it in their hearts and their buisnesses to stop and obey the law.
so people can use it for products
They were hunted for Whale Oil. Man has severely affected humpback whale populations by killing them for years. By the 19th century, many nations (USA in particular), were hunting the animal heavily in the Atlantic Ocean, and to a lesser extent in the Indian and Pacific Oceans. This widespread hunting sharply reduced whale populations.
It is estimated that during the 20th century, at least 200,000 humpbacks were taken, reducing the global population by over 90%, with North Atlantic populations estimated to have dropped to as low as 700 individuals. To prevent extinction, the International Whaling Commission banned commercial humpback whaling in 1966. By that time the population had been reduced to around 5,000. That ban is still in force
They are Killed for their blubber because we use it for lamps. I honestly don't think we should do that, but we do anyway. Hope this helped!!
the baleen whale is hunted a little more than most other whales because you can use baleen for things such as lamps etc.

Humpback Whales, Blue Whales and Southan Rign Whales
because we have hunted them for their flesh and the oil we could get from their blubber.
humans listen to their sounds but they still don't know how to interact with humpback whales, but sometimes researchers put tags on the whales, so they can track the whales' movements, and also people in the 16oo's, 1700's, and 1800's hunted whales for their fat to burn for oil for lamps.
yes because their their the same
Humpback whales are called Humpbacks for short.
There is no specific Australian slang for humpback whales.
I was the one who ask the question.
no, it is not...
Humpback whales don't usually attack other species of whales. Killer Whales are the only whales known to do that.
Humpback whales range in length from 39 to 52 feet.
Their population number is between 34,000 and 52,000 Humpback Whales.
Group of killer whales release air bubbles around school of fish creating a sort of barrier(net) and hunt them at ease
