According to The Bible, human sin is consider universal. We all sin (Romans 3:9-23). Rebellion against God's word was at the root of the problem for Adam and Eve (Genesis 3) and has been at the root of humanity's plight ever since. Jesus, a poor man, was particularly concerned to give the poor good news (Matthew 11:5; Luke 4:18).
