they used to have a different singer, his name was Jason and there was still Derek. Then he quit so they have a new singer and Derek!
Derek Sanders sings all of the songs in Mayday Parade. Originally there were two lead singers, Derek and Jason Lancaster. But Jason quit the band after A Lesson In Romantics was released. On their newest record all of the songs are performed by Derek with background vocals from both Jake Bundrick and Jeremy Lenzo.
The band, Mayday Parade plays punk music. They are also categorized as rock, emo, and indie. The vocals are distinctive and the songs are also very instrumental.
It is on "Valadosta", an EP that Mayday made featuring four previously recorded songs that they turned into acoustic songs and two originals "Terrible Things" and "Amber Lynn"
Mayday Parade is made of two former bands, one being Kid Named Chicago. "Jamie All Over" started off as a Kid Named Chicago song, and is now a Mayday Parade song. The Kid Named Chicago version has some different lyrics, like "You wore that red shirt that I love/ And sang the songs that I wrote you/ We laughed away down the beaches/ As we danced around the issue"
I have 45 of their songs, including 3 acoustic versions. All these songs are from their 4 albums (Anywhere but here, Valdosta, Tales told by dead friends, Mayday Parade, and A lesson in romantics). I don't know of any others, Hope this helps!
Painless by Mae, Boomerang by Mae,Take This To Heart by Mayday, Parade A Day Late by Anberlin, and Paperthin Hymn by Anberlin are a few similar songs.
I'm not quite sure. But they do talk about God in some songs, don't get me wrong that doesn't make them Christians but they might, and I sure hope they are.
During the holiday season the Star Singers or Sternsingers dressed as the Three Kings parade through the streets of cities and towns singing Christmas songs.
Jar of Hearts by Christina Perri is pretty legit. Also Terrible things by Mayday Parade and Apologize by One Republic are some of my favorites.
There are a few songs that are called Turn it Up by different singers. Some of the singers are Chamillionaire, Paris Hilton, Pillar, Ted Nugent, Holiday Parade, School Boy Humor, Shaman's Harvest, Josh Gracin, Johnta Austin, Jimmy Robins, etc.
Because singers have different ideas about songs.
If you work for them then you can write songs for them Note: singers will only sing your songs if they like it and pay you for it
