  • Isolation of different societies caused language to evolve in different directions.
  • Regional dialects are based on ethnicity. Philippines has a very diverse culture that is unique to one another in almost every region. When spanish came here they tried to educate the Filipinos by teaching their language for them to make it easier to teach the natives or the indios (spanish term for Indians) or to make them easier to colonize without shedding blood.
  • They do have a hard time understanding our language because it varies from every regions. Each region has sub cultural languages as well. To date, there are more than 80 known dialects being spoken throughout the country. But actually it's even more than 80 dialects or more than a hundred. Other languages are lost forever simply because the cultural ethnicity of the Filipinos is now fast vanishing. More Filipinos do wanted to study foreign languages than to preserve their own native cultural tongues.
  • It is all for the color of money. Call center job is the in thing today that separates us from who we are. We are losing our ethnicity and soon it will all fade. That is the price of globalization.
