Even if the material is the same, the thick lens is stronger because strength increases when thickness increases. If you pull on the lens in its plane and it is twice as thick then it is twice as strong. If you push on the lens perpendicular to it and it is twice as thick then it is eight times stronger. This is strength of materials theory taken in college for engineering.
Generally, yes.
Less surface area and cross section for the current to travel through.
yes.in bigger magnets there are more magnetisom This is not true! In many cases larger magnets are stronger than smaller ones but not in all. I urge you to do research on reputable sites which can offer accurate answers to your questions. Magnet strength and effectiveness rely on size, age, gauss ratings as well as several other aspects. But do not take my word, please research further.
A mirage is when rays of light attempt to travel through different densities of air on top of each other. It travels slower in the thicker densities and faster in the thinner ones, and also may change direction. This confusion in direction and speed causes images to appear in the human eye, when in fact they are not there. Mirages are NOT the same as hallucinations; they are caused by drugs etc.
sandstone has crystals, big ones not small ones
Because some have thicker lenses.
I don't know about anyone else, but i prefer thinner gloss, because sometimes i find thicker gloss harder to apply since the thick ones are usually sticky. Thinner lip gloss is just overall, easier to apply.
Spectacles will have as thin or thick lenses as needed to to give the wearer good vision. But sinsce heavy spectacles are more uncomfortable to wear than lighter ones, opticians generally tries to make the lenses as thin as possible.
yes normally they do. you can also get ones that start off thick and get thinner towards the end of the stick :)
Thicker cuttings are easier than thinner ones
Generally, many thinner layers are better than a few thick ones. Modern fabrics allow this. But fur is good if you can't get the newer stuff.
Ones with varifocal lenses.
No. It is possible to have them tinted though. If you are going to do this, bear in mind that anti-reflective coated lenses will not tint as well as uncoated ones.
Glasses without lenses? as in fake ones? why would you want them? U can just go to a 3d movie, get a pair of those and pop the lenses out.
Contact lenses that you can leave on for a long time are called extended wear lenses. These are the ones that you can wear to sleep. Some gas permeable lenses can be worn up to a month at a time.
Bottom ones have to bear more weight
Some cameras will have two sets of lenses, such as ones with a telephoto lens. These use two lenses to focus on and enlarge images.
