Only true albinos have pink eyes. The tigers commonly known as "White Tigers" are Bengal tigers with a genetic variance that affects their fur color to make it white. They are not albinos that are entirely lacking color genes leaving pink eyes. They have blue eyes.

A white tiger can only be born when both parents carry the unusual gene for white colouring. Not many tigers have this gene which leaves the Bengal tiger ( white tiger ) extremely endangered .

Because the recessive white gene that causes the light color also makes many white Bengals subject to many ailments. Crossed eyes, cleft palate, kinked tails are some. White Bengals are extremely rare in the wild, and all currently in captivity are bred there by humans. They are beautiful animals, but we should stop breeding them for our purposes. Because the animals suffer because of our interference. Eventually, other white tigers will appear in normal litters, as they have done in the past.
