Wolves are bigger, deeper in the chest and have a larger, broader head and jaw than coyotes do. This is primarily what makes them great hunters at taking down an animal that is bigger than themselves. Coyotes are more finer in bone structure and smaller in size and weight than a wolf, thus making them less stronger in comparison to a wolf.
It depends on what breed of wolf and how old it is but most likely its the wolf
No no way. Coyotes could maybe put up a fight against you. But a wolf would tear a coyote up. wolves have a bite force per pound more then 1,000 pounds. Coyotes could be mean but in a wolfs case. Not close!
No. Wolves and coyotes are related wild dogs so they do not eat wolves plus they eat plant eaters they are meat eaters. Coyotes are normally quite a bit smaller than wolves and the two species compete for food. It is not uncommon for wolves to kill coyotes because of this competition.
Wolves and coyotes may compete for some of the same food. No wolves equals more food for coyotes. More food equals more coyotes.
yes very smarter than a wolf
if it is already dead they will but coyotes are not part of wolves' prey well i live with coyotes & i never seen a wild wof (maybe cause i live in tennessee) but i seen a video of wolves flushing coyotes out of their territory, coyotes are competition not prey but like he said if they are hungry & they have a coyote carcass the wolves have a dinner, wolves are known to kill cougars, & even bears over a deer or simply they haven't eaten in a couple days so they see a bear, they need the meat so bon appitite
Yes, coyotes and wolves seem to interbreed in the wild even. In the northeast United States wolves are quite rare but coyotes are common. The few wolves seem to be breeding with coyotes and producing animals that are bigger than the average coyote but smaller than an average wolf. For more information, click on this link.
A siberian husky is heavier, more weight strength, and have stronger bites than coyotes.
wolves can not attemp to fight them
Yes, where wolves are present, they drive off or kill coyotes.
I think so
Coyotes are 4.5 feet long and wolves are 5 - 7 feet long, mainly 6 - 6.6 feet. Wolves are usually grey, but can be black, white, and a very dark gray, whereas coyotes are usually brown and orange but can be just brown and are much slimmer and smaller than a wolf.
