In case of relationships that have ended, you try to take yourself away from the past and seer towards future, but at the back of mind you are still stuck to the past. You know this and you try hard to believe that your relationship has ended and theres nothing more to it. You conciously try to leave the past behind... but the more you try conciously to forget the past, the more your mind is stuck to the past and the ex relationship.
