If it's like mine, it's because after market shocks have been installed. Most people didn't install the adjustable one's when they changed them out. Two ways to check, front-pull off the black caps and look for the plug in, if they're not connected, theyre after market. Rear- pull the speaker and look, not pluged in...aftermarket. It is very hard to find the adjustable shocks. I've looked at 5 different parts store and only 1 can get them for me and they are $157/each.

The stock 300zx turbo came with 200 horsepower from the factory. The non turbo only had 180. -Haynes

If they are both non-turbo or turbo, (meaning 4 or 5 lug) than it should work.
