The questions - are asked by ordinary people - like you or me. Some questions are quite specific on a particular subject - others are 'random' that could be answered with a visit to Wikipedia. Remember - you're not compelled to answer every question! Just answer those which you know something about. If you use your common sense, you'd figure they probably don't know anything about it. You said it yourself... it's difficult.
On another note: Some questions really are completely unanswerable.

The reason is because we don't have a system that answers questions. How the answers get there is by people. By asking and answering questions. So since people give the answers it might be days or weeks or more till you get an answer because we have 2,000,000 members and 10,000,000 questions so there are a lot of questions to go through and answer them all but eventually your questions will have answers.
