Sand dunes aren't stationary because its just a big mound of sand, and wind can blow away sand.
Badain Jaran is a desert in China. It has the tallest stationary dunes on earth, some of which rise to 500 metres.

Well desert dunes can be as high as 300m while most beach dunes are 6 to 5m. Hope I helped!
