If you told the installer to use the entire hard drive, Windows will be erased. If you told it to resize the partitions on the disk, Windows should still be bootable from the GRUB boot menu. If the installer was interrupted before GRUB could be installed, Windows is probably still intact, but lacks any boot loader to launch it. Reinstall Linux to fix the problem.

1. Use your windows disk. 2. If you have a partition on your hard drive which says recovery (or something along them lines), boot windows into that. 3. I believe if you go into windows repair tool (on boot), you can do it there.
You can always download and burn a Linux live-CD. You can then boot from this CD and browse through the files of your Windows partition to delete the file in question. Make sure the distribution you download has ntfs support.

Nowadays not much. There is a program called Boot Camp that will let you run Windows on a Mac and once you have that you can pretty much do anything you want to do on a PC on a Mac.
u simply cant reformat your hard drive while running windows on that drive, what i mean is u cant reformat the hard drive if it is that verry drive that u are running at the momnet insted u need a copy of windows, put the disc in the CD drive and restart your computer. press f2 i think when it boot's to access the boot menu, boot from CD. u can delete the current partition and create a new one, also u can reformat the drive with your file system of choice, most likely ntfs. hope this helps
