It sounds like the inside of the engine is so sludged up that the entire top of the head is covered.
You will have no problem with that switch over.
is your timing off? are you getting any spark at all?

There is absolutely no advantage of any Cherokee Jeep over any Toyota Highlander. I've had both. The Jeep spent more time in the shop than on the road.

Yes it will, unless the Grand Cherokee has the V-8, otherwise it is a direct fit and bolt up. The basic block is the same,the accessories are different, you will have to switch everything over
None. All Jeep Cherokee (XJ) are spring over in the rear & coil sprung in the front. All Grand Cherokees are coil sprung front & rear.
