Picture the host as the viruses brain and heart.. Once the virus leaves the host it dies. In other words the host gives it life.
Bacteria: Bacteria can be killed by antibiotics. Bacteria is larger. Bacteria can reproduce from the life cycle. Viruses: Viruses cant be killed by antibiotics. Viruses are smaller than bacteria. Viruses cant reproduce without help from a host cell or organism.
viruses are not technically alive because they cant reproduce by themselves, eat, break down food, or grow
viruses, in the first place, are non living. when they enter a substrate (e.g. host), that's the time they exhibit actions and processes pertaining to a living organism. this is also the reason why putting viruses in the classification system is still on debate.
they cant intentionally smile. but when theyre panting it looks like theyre smiling.
You can reproduce.
You cant. Theyre just fictional
cant theyre copyrighted
theyre made of wood
Reproduce (they make copies rather than reproducing), create waste, and (need energy? i.e. consuming foods)....wait, can you specify what virus you're talking about?
According to the answer from my textbook, it is because "When outside a living host cell, the virus exists as a crystal and is not considered a living thing because it does not carry out any life processes."
mainly because antibiotics are "programmed" to fight bacteria and do not attack other organisms like fungus or virus. its is also believed that even though virus does replicate inside livving cells, it is not considered "alive", literally. and since bacteria is a growing organism that is "alive", vaccines wont help any bit either because they are also "programmed" to kill or prevent any harmful virus that is alive only.
Because theyre native in Philippines!
