Wireless connection has no dependence on wired connections. It's something about the wireless router which are trying to connect to. It it's not your router it's possible that the owner is running so called "black list" or "white list". The "white list" allows to connect only certain users while bans everybody else. "Black list" bans only certain kind of people while allows to connect everybody else.

If the router belongs to you check router settings.

You need a WiFi connection to the internet to be able to use the wireless connection in the PS3. Can you get xbox live wireless without wireless internet?

Yes. It's a better connection if you use an Ethernet cord, too. I suggest the Linksys Wireless-6 2.4 Ghz Router. Even though it's wireless, you can still choose to use wired on the back. There is five Ethernet ports on the back. Avoid wireless if you can. Better connections.

USB Wireless Router?

A router is a device that connects to your modem to share your internet connection with other computers. A wireless router uses a power cord and an Ethernet cable to connect from the modem to the router without the need of a connection between the router and the computers it's sharing the Internet connection with. A USB wireless router connects to the modem using a single USB connection that serves as both the power supply and data connection.

How do you set set up high speed internet without an Ethernet connection on computer?

That depends on the TYPE of internet connection available to you. Two common types of internet connection are: ethernet over a cat 5 cable, wireless ethernet If you want to connect over a cat 5 cable your computer will need a network interface card (NIC). Most (but not all) modern computers are manufactured with a built in NIC. Often it's part of the motherboard. If your computer doesn't have a NIC card you can purchase that piece of hardware and plug it in to an available expansion slot. If you want to connect over a wireless ethernet your computer will need a WIRELESS network interface connection. Most laptops have a built in WiFi adapter, but again, you can purchase THAT piece of hardware and often it can be plugged in to either a USB port or the PCMCIA slot, depending on how your laptop is equipped. There are options for connecting to the internet using your USB port.

I have one printer and four computers what gadget can I use to print from four computers to my printer without transferring the connection?

It depends on if you have a net-workable printer or not. If you have a wireless or ethernet equipt printer then you could use an wireless router that usually has 4 ethernet ports. I have my computers (six of them) hooked to an ethernet switch (and a couple connected wireless) which is hooked to a wireless router. My printer is wireless (or ethernet capable) and can be used by all my computers without doing a thing. As long as the computers AND the printer stay on the same network then they can all print. Most of my computers are Macs and I can use the "Location" feature to switch back and forth from my "internet DSL" location back to my "offline local" network. If you only have a USB printer then you could use the printer sharing feature on your computer and then it would work but you would always have to have that one computer on ALL the time. There are also USB servers that use an ethernet cable to connect to the network, you just plug the USB cable from the printer into the server and then it is plugged into the computer, ethernet switch, router, etc.
