Its all involved with your center of mass. Most females center mass is lower down on the stomach and the males is a little higher. When you usually bend down your backside moves backwards right? Thats because your body does it by default to keep your arms/upper body aligned with your toes because if not you will tilt to much and eventually fall over. So when standing against the wall and leaning over, the wall stops your backside from being able to bend outward causing you to fall over.
