I am not sure why you cannot delete or edit questions on the answer site. I would try contacting the company and see if they could tell you more.
You may want to ask this on Yahoo Answers (or better yet stay here and ask and answer questions on WikiAnswers instead of Yahoo Answers :-) I would guess that since you are the one who wrote the answer Yahoo is giving you the ability to edit or delete it, but is not giving you the ability to edit or delete other people's answers.
Anybody can edit most questions on WikiAnswers. Supervisors can delete questions, but we generally do not.
You can't delete your Answers.com profile. You can delete the content on the page via Edit page link.
To delete an answer, you go to the question, click edit, remove the answer and click save
Delete the answer. Just click Edit answer and delete the whole thing. Try deleting this:
Blocking/warning, protecting questions (and answers), featuring questions, automatic merges, deleting and editing discussion posts, edit/delete/view all messages, revert answers, batch splitting and moving alternates, trash questions, and some more powers on the Community Forum.
You absolutely can remove and edit bad answers. To remove, click on "Revert" in the left hand toolbar. To edit, simply click in the box where it says "Improve this answer", and add your contribution. When it's complete, click on "Update Answer." New and somewhat new users sometimes are not able to edit answers that do not appear to be bad answers. You can modify your ability to edit answers by contributing several good answers to questions and build up your Answers.com "reputation." If you answer and ask questions for the next two weeks and still cannot edit an answer, please let us know. If you would like a question edited immediately, you may send us the edit and we will make those changes! If an answer has been posted by an expert, or is no longer accepting answers (is considered "complete"), the answer is locked. To submit an edit, you can contact us with your edits.
In order to edit, you need to be signed in and have a (totally free) account - otherwise, you can't edit the questions or answers.
'Wiki' is a type of website where members can edit anything, and Answers is the website that bought and owns WikiAnswers, so by combining the word 'Wiki' with the owner website name 'Answers' (Answers.com), it comes together as 'WikiAnswers.com', where members can edit anything freely under the Answers.com name. People can get their answers just by typing their questions in the question box, edit questions, edit answers, recategorize questions, and much more! That is the freedom of a wiki.
Any question posted on Wiki Answers can be answered by anyone, but only members can edit the answers.
Anyone can answer and/or edit questions here. There are probably thousands of people who contribute to answers, some more frequently than others.
Supervisors have the power to 'trash' questions and every signed in user has the ability to edit and improve questions and answers. So if you think a question can be worded better, edit it! If you think an answer should be deleted because it is nonsense, spam, or vandalism, remove it! Flagging is a tool that allows anyone to alert Community Assistants and Supervisors to questions that need reverting and trashing.
