A flu shot (or intranasal flu vaccine) are made from INFLUENZA viruses. The shot is the outer shell of the virus (which provides the markers we categorize as 'H' and 'N' types). The intranasal flu vaccine is an ATTENUATED or weakened virus which gives a minor infection giving immunity without illness.
The common cold is generally caused by ADENOVIRUSES or RHINOVIRUSES. These are both different from the influenza virus. In short, they are different pathogens and cause different illnesses.
There are no medicines that will cure the common cold. Given time, in a healthy adult, the body's immune system will make antibodies to fight the viral infection, and the cold will be resolved without any medical intervention. Antibiotics are useless against viral infections like the flu and common cold viruses.
It mutates too easily
They have not been able to cure or prevent it so far. The viruses that cause the common cold mutate often and rapidly. Too quickly for us to prepare a vaccine before it changes again.
Once you've had a cold, you never get that one again, but you can get colds from all the future mutated generations of the viruses ~ an endless supply of new mutations.
However, they are currently working on a cure that is promising. They believe that cold viruses can be "attacked" from a different direction. The viral antigens can be neutralized as they currently are ~ by antibodies attaching to the antigen coat. A different approach has been conceived and is under trials. The new attack is a move from the coat to the stem of the virus, then it doesn't matter how much or how fast the topside changes during mutations.
There aren't any cures. It usually goes away on its own after 7 to ten days. There are, however, ways to feel better during a cold.
a lot of medicines can cure a common cold. but me personally would suggest vicks nitequil it works quite fast?

It's actually very simple. There is not one cold virus. There are over seven hundred separate viruses that cause the common cold. Each would require its own vaccine, which quickly becomes very problematic. However, researchers are working on developing a vaccine against viruses that frequently cause the common cold.
Because the common cold is not one virus - it is over 700 viruses at last count. Rarely are more than 200 local to any particular area, but that is still, in effect, 200 different colds you can catch.
Children tend to get the most colds, as all colds viruses are "new" to them. The amount of colds a person gets as they get older tends to decline, for that same reason - they've already had most of the indigenous colds viruses.
The cold virus mutates too quickly for a vaccine to be created and produced. By the time the company got through making enough vaccine, the virus would already be mutated to a new form and would not respond to the vaccine.
You can cure a cold. The reason you get multiple colds in your life is because their are different types of colds.
Colds cant be treated with vaccine because it is not a serious illness.
There just are too many viruses that cause what we call colds. They also do not usually cause terrible side effects so the cost of making just one is not worth it.
So far, few virus's have been cured.
Do we have vitamin c n our bodies
dont eat too heavy!
no
It's normal to feel a little prick when getting a shot, but the pain is usually minimal and short-lived. The discomfort typically fades quickly after receiving the vaccine. Remember to take deep breaths and stay relaxed during the shot to make it easier.
if you dont get shots for them they could possibly catch it
