Cats are mammals so they naturally drink milk from their mother when they are young. Milk is naturally high in fat and other nutrients, which is why cats will readily drink milk. Due to their carnivorous diet, cats need some fat in their diet.

They can, but they should not be given very much of it, and not very often. I give my cats a small bowl of milk every few months or so. Many cats like cow's milk, but some are lactose intolerant. Even if your cats aren't, milk and other dairy products can give cats gas, diarrhea, and other digestive problems. But a little bit, once in awhile, is okay.

You should feed your cat water over milk, particularly cow's milk. Cats, given the chance, would certainly drink any milk, possibly due to the fat content (cats are sensitive to fat in foods as a small amount of fat provides them with nutrients). However, many cats are lactose intolerant, meaning they cannot digest it properly so can get diarrhoea from ingesting it. Cow's milk has lactose in. Goats milk, or specially formulated cat milk do not have lactose in so are perfectly safe.

Well first of all, cats can't drink milk. Most cats are lactose and tolerant and cannot drink milk. Cats can only drink CREAM, dogs cannot drink Milk either since they can get sick. The only way a cat and dog can drink milk, is when they were newborns and drank milk from their mother.

. . . "lactose and tolerant" . . . lactose intolerant

Cats, like dogs and humans, are mammals. As a mammal we are born to drink and obtain nutrition from our mother's milk. Almost any mammal given the opportunity will drink milk but that doesn't mean you should be allowing your cat to drink regular/comercial/store bought milk. In fact, you can seriously hurt/kill your pet by giving it processed milk. There are over the counter milks for pets that you can find in the pet isle of your super market and from what I understand if you live on a farm the milk from goats and cows is fine for cats as well because it has not been processed.

Cats and dogs don't just rly on their mother because if they die, stores have bottles of cat and dog milk so you can feed it to them otherwise if both are not optional, then your cat can die. Oh and yes some milks are bad for dogs and cats
