Why are foxes dangerous to humans?

They aren't scary to people (unless in an area where rabies is common). They are beautiful-looking animals, but are a problem when it comes to small domestic animals and wildlife. Sometimes children can be afraid of the noises they make at night in rural areas. Their barking and calls in the breeding season can sound a bit creepy, but are just their way of communicating. Foxes are considered to be so sneaky because in old days they would sneak into the towns and raid the chicken coops, most of the time going unseen.

Also, foxes are particularly stealthy, and cunning in that they are able to learn. They are agile, and able to squeeze into tiny places, and they are silent killers.

Foxes can transmit rabies. Also bites are unpleasant.
