It really depends on WHY he/she was married twice.

Though God gave command at Genesis 2:24, that A man will leave his father and his mother and he must stick to his wife and they must become one flesh , certain allowances were made after sin became part of man's world .

**Adultery/Fornication breaks the marriage bond.

Jesus said that a marriage contract was permanent"....except on account of fornication"(Matthew 5:32) ("fornication" is having sexual relations outside the marriage arrangement).

**Death also breaks the marriage bond. (1 Corinthians 7:39 NASB) ". . .A wife is bound as long as her husband lives; but if her husband is dead, she is free to be married to whom she wishes, only in the Lord. "

So if one of the mates commits adultery, and the other mate cannot bring themselves to forgive this adultery, the marriage is broken, and the innocent mate is free to remarry.(Matthew 19:9) And if a mate dies, the other is free to remarry, however many times .

Consequently, according to The Bible, if someone is married, and their mate is still alive, and no fornication or adultery has taken place, the marriage is still together in the eyes of God.(Matthew 19:6) They are still 'one flesh'. If either mate married someone else at this point, they would be considered 'adulterers' according to the Bible, and would not have God's approval or be acceptable 'examples to the flock' (1 Peter 5:2+3)(1 Corinthians 6:9+10) (Hebrews 13:4). In this case, their preaching could very possibly bring reproach on God's name (Romans 2:22-24) turning people away from the truth of God's word because of their hypocrisy.(Matthew 15:7-9)
