1. The building was built on a special base platform that allows it to reduce shaking from earthquakes.

2. Diagonal trusses at its base protect it from both horizontal and vertical forces.

4. It has a wide heavy base, declining in weight as the height increases.

5. Has some flexibility which is helpful in making sure the building doesn't just collapse during the earthquake
