Type your answer here... Because these both are from jungle but there is something different in tiger. tiger is the member of home cats and there are many more same activities of tigers match to cats but the lion is connected to jungle from starting of the life so they have only know how to get the food so tigers can stay with a men longer then a lion.
I think it helps them balance and communicate with other lions.
lions and other hunters like tigers, often search for waterholes (they attract game) and will stay close, and wait until dinner is thirsty
Yes, tigers do live alone except for a mother and her cub.yes, like most cats Tigers are solitary animals.(only Lions live together in prides).By: Dumas,Joelson
cause they make bad decisions.
The habitat ranges of these two creatures do not overlap, but if they do predation of Lions by Tigers is likely since Tigers are known to stalk and prey on mega fauna like bears, crocodiles, elephants and rhinos. The closest their habitats come is in India, and recently when Indian govt. wanted to reintroduce Lions in a national park in the state of Uttar pradesh, rangers and wild life biologists were preempting and planning for possible predation of Lions by Tigers, since Bengal Tigers are arund 25% bigger in size than normal African lions, moreover Asiatic lions are a little smaller than their African cousins. (see the related question)
Tigers sometimes stay in plains or caves. They have babies when they wanted to, as there isn't any mating timing for them tigers.
Lions stay cool by dipping their feet in a near by river or just some water.
Lions live primarily on the African savanna.
No, as lions live in the Savanna in Africa and tigers live in India in Asia, If a tiger were to live in the wild in Africa it would probably die of dehydration as tigers need more water than lions, And if a lion were to live in the wild in Asia it would probably die of hypothermia as lions need more heat then tigers. I'm not sure that the above is strictly true. There are some lions in the India and, I believe, Pakistan. I am not sure whether their areas overlap. Historically, before the effects of humans, their territories did overlap.
they stay in winter and summer
Yes and No. Both lions and tigers are ambush hunters. They stay hidden and wait till the prey is close enough and then pounce on it. The main difference lies in the fact that Tigers are solitary hunters whereas lions hunt in packs. The whole pride gets involved in the hunt and help bring down the prey.
On a very basic level, lions and tigers are both felines. They are "big cats", two of the four large species within the genus Panthera, sitting alongside the leopard and the jaguar. Both are vulnerable species hunted for their pelts. However, lions have a yellowish fur whereas tigers have very distinct stripes on an orange background. Their face shapes are similar, but male lions have a mane while female lionesses stay bare.Tigers are the heaviest feline, and lions are the second-heaviest of the two. They are found mostly in Asia, including the Indian subcontinent. Lions are found in Africa and India.Lionesses are recognized as the main hunters for their packs. Lions go about in groups, but tigers prefer to stay alone. The main diet for lions are wildebeest and zebras. Tigers are known to attack leopards, and old tigers that cannot catch their have even turned into maneaters on occasion. Tigers have killed more people than any other cat. Though they do possess frighteningly sharp teeth, both tigers and lions typically kill their prey using methods of strangulation, clamping down on its neck until it dies. Their relationships with humans are also similar. Lions and tigers are members of the Big Five of game animal hunting, in Africa and Asia, respectively. They are the five most difficult (and dangerous) animals to hunt on foot. Traditionally, 12 subspecies of lions are recognized, and nine for tigers (3 of which are extinct). Only 8 of the 12 lion subspecies exist today.Lions and tigers can be interbred, along with jaguars and leopards. A male lion with a female tiger is a liger, and a female lion with a male tiger is a less commonly seen tigon. Both lions and tigers have a recessive gene that can produce a 'white' version of their species, with either very pale pelts or white pelts with black stripes.
