So that all of our questions are consistent and easy for contributors to find, they must follow our Stylebook, which states that questions should be phrased using "you" rather than "I", "me" or "one".
WikiAnswers is a worldwide group of contributors--like you--who ask and answer questions. Millions of people have a lot to say, evidenced through the questions and answers here!
When WikiAnswers says you can ask anything, it is assumed you would ask a legitimate question which has a legitimate answer. Questions that are merged into "What questions add no value" are generally questions that are of no value to other people or simply make no sense.
WikiAnswers is not a site that can teach you a language. It is a site where you can ask individual questions about languages, such as "How do you say dog in Japanese?" Here is the section where you can ask questions about Japanese: http://wiki.answers.com/Q/FAQ/4416

New questions on WikiAnswers do take a long time to get answered, but I wouldn't say that it's the worst place to look up answers. WikiAnswers works great for finding answers to common questions, and it does a good job of answering questions when you know ask right. Check out the related questions below for some ways to get better answers on WikiAnswers.

at the top of the page where it say's 'answers' you ask question's there.
If I wanted to tell a friend about wikianswers, I would tell them that it is a website where people ask and answer questions. Then I would give them the URL and say "Go look at this link. I have a lot of fun here, maybe you will too."
because wikianswers is retarded and they want you to "grow their community" and want you to ask because that means they get more views of the website and therefore are more "popular" or whatevs
WikiAnswers owner Chris Whitten started the site (as FAQ Farm), but WikiAnswers is "authored" by its community of users. As WikiAnswers Contributors, we ask and answer each other's questions. You might say, "We the people of the Internet are the authors of this site." Most of the users of WikiAnswers are dedicated to building and improving the site.
