If you in windows NT based system, it's possible. Start->My Computer->Tools->Folder options->View, uncheck Use simple file sharing. Then right click on any of your hard drives->Security. In Security you can pick users who will be able to get access for your hard drives locally and through network.
Because Drive D has more space than Drive c because of their differents EXAMPLE : Drive D is data. Data is important so it has more room than drive C , Drive c of course is just C ,so that makes Drive C less important! C is just its name nothing fancy.
If you don't have a DVD drive then it is th C:// drive and the D:// drive. However, if you do it is only the C:// drive.
Both letters are for Hard Disk drive because one hard disc is compartmentalized and these are named C drive, D drive & E Drive etc.
To access a shadow copy on your D drive, you will need to check and see if the permissions allow you to view the copy. You can go to "Start", click on "D Drive" and then attempt to open the copy from there.
no
my desk top c & d drives hide (dont show in C & D drive )but system is working how un hide my C & D drives
No, C & D might simply be two partitions of one physical drive.
c: is that partition of ur harddisk from where ur system boots and d drive is any other partition.
c. jump drive
Yes
You simply enter the drive letter followed by a colon. For example, when you start the command prompt, you will be in the C drive. if you want to switch to the D drive, you would type in 'D:' and hit enter: C:\Users\jdoe> D: D:\>
You have to find out where the BOOT.INI is. You might have two of them. If you have two of them you can format the d drive. If you have one on the disk d you have to use restoring CD to put BOOT.INI file on disk C. Again if you have BOOT.INI on c you can format d.
