Because you need to be 13 or older to be on YouTube. According to COPPA, (some annoying law that calls 12 year old children), to use sites like facebook, Google, and more u have to be 13 or over. For things like a google account, I would just say ur age 13 or 14 (and lie) because google is safe. For Facebook, I would wait until ur actually 13. In Youtube, I think 12 is close enough as long as u don't take videos of your self. THAT can wait. But i would just recommend saying ur 13 on youtube, but be safe.
