The reason why J.T. Yorke can't come back to Degrassi is because the character is dead, he was stabbed by 1 of the Lakehurst students. Degrassi is supposed to be a show that deals with the real world which includes real life topics which means J.T. can't come back because that would mean resurrecting him which goes against the purpose of their show.
