I wish I knew. The military seems to have a very negative generalization about people with Asthma. Most of us are actually very athletic. I'm not even old enough to enlist yet, but I know I will be turned down because my last incident was after my 13th birthday. I don't even have asthma anymore, and I'll still be turned down. There should be some sort of a petition to change this.
Another View: (in the US) Primarily because the military can ill afford to have medically fragile persons involved in high stress situations during a period of time when they may either not have access to their medications, or they may suddenly be struck by a disabling attack, thereby placing their comrades at risk due to the loss of manpower.
It depends which country you serve and to what degree you are affected by the disease. If you can prove that the asthma is not triggered by stress and that you can operate efficiently with a frog on your face you might well be allowed to serve.
i have asthma and it effects my life a lot : IE i cant run i cant do sports because i have an asthma attack
you cant catch asthma
NO you cant get drunk with an asthma inhaler, but you can overdose if you are dumb enough to try....
Your question reads like you want asthma. You don't. When an attack happens you can't breathe and people have died with an attack.
they obviously cant always breathe
you serve your sentence
Yes.
Pay now, play later. Serve your country now, you'll be glad you did...later.
To reduce asthma attacks you can take some simple steps. Making sure rooms are mold free and dust free cant help reduce attacks.
AmeriGuild allows young people to serve their country and the world.
