A common anode 7-segment display is sometimes used in applications were the driving IC can not supply all of the required current but it can pull it to ground. This is common in microcontrollers. An IO pin of amicrocontroller might only be able to source a few milliamps of current, but it can sink 20 - 30 milliamps.
When using a common cathode 7-segment display with a 7447 the readout is inverted. Instead of 1000 resulting in an 8, you will see all segments will be off. Since a common cathode display pulls its power from the driving IC chip you could either use an inverter on each input segment or use each 7447 output to forward bias a transistor (turn it on) allowing current draw to come directly from Vcc instead of risking burning out your chip. Note: the series limiting resistors will still be necessary.
A common cathode is a shared terminal in a multiple LED or display device where all the cathodes of the individual LEDs are electrically connected. This configuration allows for the LEDs to be controlled independently through their anodes.
The output of 8051 micro controller is active high so we must need to use the common cathode type display . it will work glow when any input is high . The anode terminals of leds's of seven segment connected to 8051's output and cathode is common and grounded . so it require common cathode because 8051 provide active high output.

A CRT (cathode ray tube) display doesn't have a fixed number of pixels like modern LCD or LED screens. Instead, its resolution is determined by the horizontal and vertical scan lines it can display. Common CRT resolutions include 640x480 (VGA), 800x600 (SVGA), and higher, which means they can display millions of individual points of light, but the actual pixel density varies based on the display's size and technology.
CRT stands for "cathode ray tube" and they are a special kind of vaccuum tube that displays the image in old, standard TVs. LCD stands for "liquid crystal display" and it is a thin, flat electronic display that uses light-modulating properties of liquid crystals in order to give off the image.
Yes, the noun display is a common noun. Display is also a verb.
None of these appliances use a cathode ray tube. Older type TVs used a cathode ray tube, its common name was the picture tube.

There are various ways that you can display your work which will be determined by the nature of the work. The most common methods of display if on tables and on data sources.
In CRO, the ground terminals are common, where as in Powerscope, the ground terminals are seperate. also the input voltage for CRO is max 400 volts DC where as for powerscope it is 1000 volts DC.
A display device is anything that will put images on a screen to see what input and actions a user would ultimately need visual confirmation. The most common display is the default monitor. By its term means that by default any monitor should work if installed on a CPU prior to turning the power on. The screen has dials that can make the display seem blank and sometimes adjustments must be made to the display itself. A television can be used on most modern systems. The way to determine what display you may use is to simply find the VGA or similar type of connection on the back of the tower. The different styles are easily defined by the number of pins.
