Rarely. If they were in the trenches, the danger was too great to leave. If a soldier was able to leave for home, it wasn't more than once a year. most soldiers were honourably discharged after various injuries such as trench foot
Soldiers had to live through flooded trenches, rats running amok, dead bodies in the trenches, and gas attacks. But when the men tried to leave the trenches they were mowed down by gunfire, so you were stuck.
Being in the trenches during the war was one of the hardest places to be. The conditions were atrocious and many soldiers died from the conditions alone. In order to avoid any troupe from being in the trenches for too long the units all routed. A unit would do their time, usually about 10-14 days, and then they would be rotated out and serve further back on the line.
Trenches were very helpful for the soldiers in WW1! Trenches were around 7ft deep and built by the soldiers themselves, they could span for hundreds of km's. Some of the main features of the trenches were.....Barbed wire, this was placed around 6 ft away from the top edge of the trenches. This was the 1st line of defence in the trenches to stop enemy soldiers entering the trenches.Fire step, this would help soldiers to get 'Over The Top'(out over the top of the trench) also it would help the soldiers get better aim when shooting out of the trench.Dug out, This was to protect soldiers whilst they were getting their well earned rest.Zig-zag formation, exetremly hard to take over as their could be an ambush around any of the corners, also strong against aerial bombings as the force of the force of the bomb couldn't sweep down a straight line it had to take out all the corners aswell.Machine gun posts, were strategically placed around trenches to gun down any on coming enemy soldiers.
I can't imagine why you would ask such a question. All soldiers help each other that are wounded and don't leave them behind.

The thing that causes oceanic trenches would be two ocean plates pulling apart. This would leave a space in between the plates that is the trench.
because chris was starting to change and she couldnt stand it so she decided to leave him ..
Deep ocean trenches are made where one plate is submerged under another
